Blue Noon by Scott Westerfeld (Midnighters book 3)

Days are 25 hours long. At midnight time freezes for everyone except the Midnighters. For an hour they alone are able to move about. In this hour live the dark creatures that haunt the shadows.

This is the final book in the trilogy (at least I am 99% sure it is a trilogy, I didn’t see anything saying there were more coming).

I have a new respect for the number 13 after having read these books and my love of Scott Westerfeld is still intact.

Books 3 finds The Midnighters faced with not just saving their town but possibly the world from the creatures in the hidden hour.

Scott Westerfeld is the author of Uglies, Peeps and Leviathan, all of which are also good reads.

(read March 2011)
